A new executive is hitting the ground running at Associated Foods Stores (AFS). With over 17 years of experience under his belt, Todd Jensen takes on the role of Vice President of Fresh Foods.
Jensen holds a wealth of knowledge, a passion for growth, and a deep understanding of the local food landscape, all of which he will use to boost the company’s development as he begins his new role at the beginning of February. Jensen will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic perishable department plans for AFS’ member-owned and corporate-owned retail grocery stores across nine western states.
He will directly oversee activities related to selection, distribution, merchandising, operations, and profitability for the bakery, delicatessen, meat, and produce departments.
His career in the grocery industry began at Harmons, where he started in the produce department, a release relayed. His commitment and dedication led him through various roles, from Grocery Manager to Assistant of Store Development. He continued to advance to positions such as Store Director and eventually Vice President of Sales.
He succeeds Bill Price, who passed away in October of 2023.
