Beehive Cheese Announces Expanded Partnership With Gossner Foods; Tim Welsh, Britton Welsh, and Kristan Earl Comment

In life and in the cheese world, partnerships can lead to magic. As is the case with Beehive Cheese and its collaborator of more than 18 years Gossner Foods. After nearly two decades, the pair is strengthening its alliance come summer 2024, when Gossner’s will begin producing Promontory Cheddar using Beehive’s recipe. All flavor rubbing and aging will then continue at the Beehive Cheese Creamery.

Finding the way forward, this partnership with Gossner Foods removes many of the roadblocks that we've encountered. We can continue making award-winning cheese, minimize debt in expanding our operation, and set the stage for success for our employees and the next generation to grow and thrive.”

By partnering with the master cheesemakers at Gossner Foods, Beehive Cheese can allot its full attention to its signature rubbed-rind Cheddars, a release explained. During the shift, no jobs will be lost, and Beehive will continue to oversee the cheesemaking process.

Not only will the product’s quality remain the same, but this expansion will allow for positive growth. Through an evolved partnership with Gossner Foods, Beehive Cheese can maintain full ownership of its company, quality standards, equipment, and future.

This partnership will also strengthen Beehive Cheese’s commitment to the B Corp certification standards, allowing them to integrate into Gossner’s state-of-the-art water and waste conservation efforts.
