Strategic expansion plans are ever on the horizon, and BJ’s Wholesale Club is setting its sights on not just one market, but four. The club chain revealed it will be opening up four new locations in Midlothian, Virginia; Wayne, New Jersey; New Albany, Ohio; and Noblesville, Indiana, as part of its next phase of 2022 development plans.
“We’ve seen tremendous success in growing our footprint over the last several years, both in our core East Coast communities as well as in new markets like the greater Detroit and Pittsburgh areas,” said Bill Werner, Executive Vice President, Strategy and Development. “Our expansion into the greater Indianapolis and Columbus markets allows us to bring the value of our membership to these new communities we look forward to serving.”
The retailer is eyeing Midlothian and Wayne, which will add to the wholesaler’s 13 existing clubs in Virginia. Additionally, BJ’s Noblesville club will mark the retailer’s entrance into the state, a press release explained. The New Albany location will be BJ’s seventh location in Ohio, and the latest New Jersey location will add to the current 23 wholesale clubs in the state.
Each of the four new locations will feature an extensive selection of fresh foods, a full-service deli, and household essentials. Members can shop in-store, using the company’s website, or through its mobile app. Consumers also have access to buy online, pick up in-club as well as curbside pickup, same-day delivery, Same-Day Select, and ExpressPay.
