I grew up eating bánh mì, therefore pâté was very much a part of my life. Now as an adult consumer, my palate has expanded. Brooklyn Cured is bringing consumers like me a new pâté line, Gilbert & Bernard Pâté, to indulge in.
“We developed the flavor profiles and packaging to give the category a fresh look and feel that will attract new customers to the joys of pâté,” said Scott Bridi, Founder of award-winning charcuterie producer Brooklyn Cured and Co-Founder of Gilbert & Bernard Pâté.
This new pâté line is truly a family affair. Bridi teams up with his wife, Hannah Bae, to bring Gilbert & Bernard Pâté and specialty foods into the world. According to the release, Gilbert & Bernard is a fresh take on some old classics.
Slated to launch in March, each product is packaged in individual terrine molds with a suggested retail price of $8.99—$9.99 and comes in 6/7 oz cases. Gilbert & Bernard Pâté will be debuting in four flavors, including:
The husband-wife team created Gilbert & Bernard to embody characteristics they admire and associate with good taste. On the logo, consumers will find the characters Gilbert, in a bow tie on the left, and Bernard, in glasses and scarf on the right. The pair are debonair, adventurous, silly, and sweet—and they fancy themselves to be gourmands. In short, they are perfectly positioned to be the faces of the brand.
Bae is the Founder of Noona’s Ice Cream, an acclaimed producer of frozen Asian-inspired desserts. As a team, the duo has over 20 years of experience in the specialty food industry.
Both Bridi and Bae have enjoyed pâté together on numerous memorable occasions, including on their first anniversary trip to Montreal, Canada, and in the restaurant in Brooklyn where they were married. The new pâté line is deeply meaningful to them, and they are excited to share these products with the world.
