Castello® Brand of Arla Foods Company is Bringing Several New Offerings to IDDBA 2022; Kevin Rider Discusses

The International Dairy Deli Bakery Association’s (IDDBA) 2022 trade show is rapidly approaching, and Castello® of the Arla Foods Company is one booth you will want highlighted on your floor map. With new launches and a focus on delivering quality products and innovative solutions to partners, this is what industry exploration is all about.

Kevin Rider, Brand Manager, Castello Cheese“We’re proud to share that over the last two years, we’ve continued to service our partners at a +98 percent fill rate, while continuing to innovate and produce award-winning cheeses,” Kevin Rider, Brand Manager for Castello, shares, adding that the team is looking forward to showcasing award-winning cheeses at the show. “Our Castello Smoked Cracked Pepper Gouda and Flavored Havarti recently won best of class in their respective categories at the 2022 World Championship Cheese Contest, and we cannot wait to share them with the greater dairy community.”

With several new additions to showcase, including a debut snacking line, there is much to see and discuss at booth #2035.

With new launches and a focus on delivering quality products and innovative solutions to partners, Arla Foods Company is focused on industry exploration“We’re excited to bring greater variety to cheese snacking with Castello Cheese Crisps in Havarti and Gouda cheese varieties, Castello snack bars in Havarti and Gouda cheese varieties, and Dofino® Spreadable Cheese Wedges in two Havarti flavors,” Kevin divulges. “With U.S. consumers once again on-the-go, it’s perfect timing.”

In addition to snacking innovations, the brand will be showcasing holiday offerings including two blue cheese innovations: Castello Danish Blue Cheese with Pear & Vanilla Compote and Castello Velvet Blue Cheese—an innovative, mild, creamy blue cheese.

Looking ahead to in-person meetings beyond industry trade shows, the team is geared up and ready to begin hosting more consumer experiences this summer, kicking off with a ‘Hype the Havarti’ food truck challenge in July. Food trucks across the nation will create and serve Havarti dishes at their food trucks while competing for $20,000, an event we can all follow along with at HypeTheHavarti.com.

“Arla Foods is looking forward to exhibiting at IDDBA this year and all that we have planned. While we quickly adapted to the virtual environment, we appreciate the opportunity to collaborate in-person with our partners. We’re looking forward to more in-person trade and consumer events moving forward,” Kevin promises.

IDDBA’s 2022 trade show returns to Atlanta, Georgia, next week, June 5–7, at the Georgia World Congress Center. With a lot of ground to cover, a plan is crucial, and I advise to have booth #2035 on it.
