We are about a month away from the Dairy Food Safety Alliance’s next meeting, taking place October 25. All dairy manufacturers, processors, and industry suppliers are encouraged to register for the hybrid event taking place in person in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, or online via Zoom.
“Food safety is the foundation of dairy processors’ success, and WCMA is proud to bring you the information and resources you need amid regulatory change and the evolution of consumer preferences,” said Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA) Contest Director Kirsten Strohmenger. “Join the Dairy Food Safety Alliance to build your knowledge base and expand your food safety network!”
The Dairy Food Safety Alliance is a partnership between the Center for Dairy Research (CDR), Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin (DFW), and WCMA. The alliance offers practical presentations on the latest in food safety research and regulatory practices and a chance to reconnect with peers in dairy processing.
The October meeting will feature a presentation and panel on inspectors’ recent observations in dairy plants. According to a press release, regulatory partners from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection will offer updates. Dairy Farmers of Wisconsin’s Adam Brock is set to present on root cause analysis and quality tools, while the Center for Dairy Research’s Alex O’Brien will detail the new dairy recall tracker and sanitation preventive controls. The meeting will conclude with a presentation on Spanish language food safety training services offered by the Innovation Center for U.S. Dairy.
