This past year has undoubtedly transformed the way consumers eat, shop, and do practically everything in between. Convenience has become one of the leading factors when it comes to making a decision on what to have for dinner or where to buy household essentials. DoorDash recently announced it is expanding its innovative convenience store format and bringing a new DashMart store to Roseville, California.
The new DashMart store will bring an array of household goods and local restaurant favorites to consumers’ doorsteps on-demand, according to ABC 10. These options range from cheesecake slices from The Cheesecake Factory, to fresh and frozen groceries and ready-made restaurant meals.
DoorDash first launched this convenience store concept back in August of 2020 to create a new channel for local businesses to reach their customers online. The new DashMart now brings about 3,500 items, all curated by DoorDash, to consumers in a convenient and easy-to-use format.
According to the news source, the store also offers a new distribution channel for merchants to reach consumers completely online, while offering customers a new way to find their favorite restaurant brands online and get their everyday essential household items.
While DoorDash already has a DashMart location in Sacramento, the new Roseville location is the first in the city, and is expected to open in the second quarter of 2021.
