The anticipation can start sinking in for Iowans as Fareway Stores has announced the location of its newest store: Norwalk, Iowa. With construction slated to begin in spring 2023, the site will tentatively open its doors in 2024, providing a wide selection of high-quality products.
“We look forward to continuing to serve area residents with a new store look and feel. The updated shopping experience, with fresh and unique aesthetics, will allow us to grow with the great community of Norwalk,” said Fareway Chief Executive Officer Reynolds W. Cramer. “We want to thank city officials for their commitment to Fareway and for their hard work in making this project possible.”
Upon this new 24,000-square-foot store’s opening, the retailer’s existing Norwalk Fareway location will close, a release explained. The new store will provide consumers with a variety of fresh, quality meat, a full-service butcher counter, and more.
On top of its range of offerings, the location will have a fresh look and feel with more natural lighting and an updated interior. It will also include FastLanes, a self-service checkout option, as well as online shopping and curbside pick-up.
Fareway will close on the property this week, with more details to come.
