One dedicated retail exec will be adding their expertise to the FiveStar Gourmet Foods organization. The supplier recently welcomed industry vet Jerry Callahan to its Board of Directors, effective July 1, 2023.

Callahan's expertise has been garnered over a four-decade tenure with Albertsons. In the role of General Vice President of Produce, Floral, Meat, and Seafood, Callahan spearheaded coast-to-coast innovation across 2,250 stores in 14 divisions. As a press release explained, some of his key contributions in revolutionizing in-store produce programs set a precedent for unparalleled fresh quality.
During his time with Albertsons, Callahan progressed from Assistant Produce Clerk to Produce Sales Manager, before becoming a vital part of the company's corporate office. He brings a holistic understanding of the food industry landscape to his new role, as well as expertise in identifying emerging consumer trends and swiftly executing in-store initiatives.
