Korean dishes have to be up there with my top favorite international cuisines. Not being a skilled Korean food chef myself I am often left ordering take-out. So, hearing about Harmony Food Group’s new brand of elevated Korean street food prepackaged products, DORO™, has me feeling pretty excited.

Christine Gregory, Co-Founder, DORO“DORO, which means road in Korean, is the cuisine of our culture and the unexpected career path we followed when we decided to make delicious, high-quality global cuisine,” said Christine Gregory, Co-Founder. “My partner and Co-Founder Terrence Williams and I are not from the food industry. We are two non-profit executives with a passion for creating brands that reflect the cuisine of immigrant and diverse communities. We say that we create modern cuisine for the culture because the celebration of culture, homeland, and identity is central to our brand.”

DORO unveiled its new line of prepackaged products at the 2024 Summer Fancy Food Show sharing samples of its Tteokbokki Cheesy Korean Rice Cakes, Guksu Bokum Mushroom Udon Noodles, and Guksu Bokum Garlic Udon Noodles to attendees. The creation of the brand was sparked in the wake of the global pandemic.

“We craved Korean food during the pandemic but had to visit multiple grocery stores to make our favorite dishes, which meant that we were risking our lives to enjoy a bowl of stir-fried noodles,” Gregory exclaimed. “We decided the world needed a wider range of delicious, quick-prep, clean-label, culturally diverse food options made with real vegetables and high-quality ingredients.”

Terrance Williams, Co-Founder, DORO“We wanted to make our favorite global street foods accessible, nutritious, and convenient,” Williams added. “We spent three years engaged in market research, perfecting our recipes, and getting customer feedback before we were ready to launch DORO. It’s finally ready, and we are excited to share it with the world.”

Something tells me I’ll have my weekday lunches covered from now on…
