Hooray Foods is on a mission to present vegan, vegetarian, and flexitarian consumers with the indulgence that is plant-based bacon. With an innovative product that looks, tastes, and cooks just like animal bacon, the supplier has expanded its distribution to bring more plant-based offerings to shoppers at Wegmans Food Markets, as the grocer will offer a retail pack of Hooray Foods bacon in its plant-based refrigerated section.

Sri Artham, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Hooray Foods“Conventional supermarkets are key in driving the plant-based category and making it more accessible to the flexitarians,” commented Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sri Artham. “We’re excited to partner with such a prominent player in the space like Wegmans.”

The rollout began with 76 stores located in North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Virginia, as noted in a press release. Since its launch over a year ago, the plant-based brand has broadened its distribution footprint to over 1,000 stores.
