Ines Rosales USA is joining the likes of some of our industry’s most resilient leaders in order to do its part for its community. The U.S.-based subsidiary of the Spanish Torta manufacturer from Seville, Spain, has donated more than 70,000 single units of its Mini Tortas to City Harvest, a New York City hunger relief organization that has rescued and delivered over 800 million pounds of food to 1.2 million New Yorkers since its inception, in order to help feed those who are experiencing food insecurity.

Lucia Conejo-Mir, Vice President of National Sales, Ines Rosales"Over the last few months, we have seen plenty of people in the food industry step up to find meaningful ways to help their communities,” said Lucia Conejo-Mir, Vice President of National Sales for Ines Rosales. “At Ines Rosales, we thought it was important to help the community and give back to the people (who have, in turn, helped grow our business in this country) when they need us the most."

The company particularly felt called to help because Ines Rosales, the company’s Founder, went through a time of need herself. According to a press release, her family experienced the hardships of poverty before Ines decided to retrieve the recipe of the Olive Oil Tortas from her family cookbook. This led her to commercialize it in 1910 and the rest, as they say, is history.

“Every time we can give back to the community it feels like coming full circle. Ines Rosales would have felt very proud,” continued Conejo-Mir.

Both Ines Rosales and its parent company have worked to donate products to local communities, hospitals, residences for the elderly, truck drivers, and more.

Thank you to companies like Ines Rosales who are doing their part to help mitigate the challenges of today’s market!
