Two heads are better than one, and the same goes for expansions. However, don’t take my word for it; listen to Latitude 36 Foods. As part of its growth strategy, the supplier has not only completed a new 250,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse facility in Corona, California, but also appointed Matt Sonneman as Vice President of Sales and Customer Experience.
Sonneman brings extensive experience to Latitude 36. He has a background in sales and marketing in manufacturing businesses supporting the produce and foodservice industries. According to a release, Sonneman most recently led sales, commercialization, and customer service for the industrial and foodservice divisions at Stir Foods.
In his new role, Sonneman will head up efforts in growing sales and supporting customer relationships. He will also be in charge of expanding the reach of Latitude 36 in the packaging sector.
Sonneman’s appointment is a two-fold strike for growth. No doubt his role will take on critical importance alongside the completion of the new Corona facility. This newly designed manufacturing center features state-of-the-art packaging capabilities and quality systems, the release explained, and has focused design for employee welfare and safety.
The increased capacity created by this facility will support continued diversification for the business.
“We believe that Latitude 36 serves as the industry leader for the produce industry and beyond for portion-controlled food ingredients and snacks,” said Leslie Surber, President. “With our completion of the new Corona production facility and the expansion of our sales leadership under Matt, we are well-positioned for continued growth, and look forward to serving our current industry-leading partners and employees in 2023.”
