Culinary artistry is one way to draw consumers’ eyes to the plate, and what better way to do so than with an expert chef in the kitchen. Plant-based producer Meati Foods has announced an evolving chef partnership series called “Meati Culinary Collective.” Meati is collaborating with Chef David Chang of Momofuku and Majordomo Media, Chef Charlie McKenna of Lillie’s Q, and chefs Tom Colicchio and Evan Funke to debut curated recipes, original content, and meals using Meati.

Tyler Huggins, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder, Meati Foods“The confidence we’ve received from recognized chefs who are part of Meati’s Culinary Collective speaks to the unmatched, differentiated product that Meati has to offer,” said Tyler Huggins, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder of Meati. “Having the support of these acclaimed chefs is one thing, but seeing their passionate Meati creations coming out of their world-class restaurants is especially meaningful as we start this massive year of Meati expansion, introducing our cuts to new people and palates throughout the country.”

Consumers in New York City, New York, and Los Angeles, California, will have the first opportunity to experience not only Meati, but its Culinary Collective. Dishes created by Chef David Chang include:

  • Meati Crispy Cutlet Buns, available until May 23 at Momofuku Noodle Bar
  • Meati Carne Asada Lan Larb Salad, available until May 23 at Majordomo
  • Gochujang Double Fried Meati Nuggets with Garlic Sesame, available from February 27 to May 23 at Momofuku Ssäm Bar

David Chang, Chef and Founder, Momofuku, Majordomo Media“I’ve been closely following plant-based innovations for years,” said Chang. “I can say without hesitation that the food Meati delivers is unmatched in terms of its clean label, nutrition, texture and taste. I’m thrilled to be part of the team and mission and want to bring the power of Meati to life.”

In March, Chicago, Illinois, diners will see Meati at Lillie’s Q as its first-ever animal-free protein. Meati will also expand existing partnerships with Tom Colicchio, chef and owner of Crafted Hospitality, and Chef Evan Funke of Felix and Mother Wolf, with to-be-announced offerings throughout the year.
