Back in August, I got the chance to speak with Michel et Augustin CEO Evan Holod about the company’s unique line of shortbread cookie offerings. Evan said the company had gone in on a new flavor this summer: the Triple Chocolate cookie square. No one asked, but I’ve just been twiddling my thumbs over here in anticipation of the new flavor. Twiddle no more, wee thumbs. The Triple Chocolate cookie squares have arrived, and they’re even more decadent than I ever could have imagined.
“Triple Chocolate was inspired by America’s love of chocolate and it’s our first innovation to be sold exclusively in the U.S. We went all in on this supremely decadent cookie by giving it three deliciously unique textures. The buttery base, made with Dutch Cocoa, is flooded with a dark chocolate ganache and then topped with a sprinkle of crunchy cocoa nibs,” said Evan.
Every Michel et Augustin cookie is made with real chocolate, French butter, and flour, and contains no preservatives, artificial sweeteners, or artificial flavors or dyes. Not to mention that they’re finished off with a sprinkle of “amour” that makes me want to kiss my fingertips in true European style.
I had the opportunity to taste the new flavor and I must say, it is exquisite. It joins a lineup of delicious recipes including Dark Chocolate with a Pinch of Sea Salt, Milk Chocolate with Melty Caramel, and Chocolate with Toasted Hazelnuts, all of which rocked my world.
