Mifroma is bringing the proverbial heat to IDDBA. Offering a full array of cheeses imported directly from Switzerland, the company knows a thing or two about quality. I had the chance to catch up with Al Baca, Mifroma USA’s East Coast Regional Sales Manager, to learn more about the highlighted programs at this year’s show.
“We’ll be focusing on our Sliced Raclette, Switzerland Swiss, and Gruyere® Shreds, and how consumers can tie these cheeses into the summer season,” he begins. “Our Sliced Raclette is unique because the package contains eight slices of Raclette. Typically, Raclette is available in a full wheel or a square. This package makes it convenient for the consumers, and it’s perfect for grilling on burgers. Our Switzerland Swiss will be on display and it’s the perfect sandwich and snacking cheese. And our Gruyere shreds come in a 3.5 oz resealable container, which can then be used in a variety of dishes, including salads, fondue, soufflés, and omelettes.”
One of the key components to the Mifroma line is that it is produced in Switzerland, which lends a unique flavor and tradition to the cheeses.
“Mifroma is an exclusive supplier of Switzerland cheese. We don’t sell domestically produced cheeses,” Al tells me. “Our mission is to sell only traditional Switzerland cheese.”
A worthy mission, if you ask me. Be sure to visit the Mifroma team at the Atalanta booth #4100. See you all there!
