I’m just going to go out on a limb here and say that Organic Valley might need a bigger trophy case after its winnings this past year. The organic dairy supplier revealed that it has stacked up more than half a dozen accolades in 2021, including bringing home first place at the PARENTS’ Food Awards 2021 for Best Packaged Snack for its Organic Valley Egg Bites.
“We wanted to create a delicious, organic snack that was easy to enjoy on the go. We accomplished that with Egg Bites,” said Organic Valley Product Development Manager Devin Thorson. “We are proud to win awards that reinforce all of the efforts our farmer-members and employees put into our organic products.”
In addition to its win at the PARENTS’ Food Awards, the farmer-owned organic cooperative was also awarded:
Organic Valley’s Egg Bites have seen steadily increasing sales, according to a press release, suggesting that they are winning over shoppers as a convenient breakfast option that easy to take on the go. The proof is also in the pudding, as the Egg Bites were also voted “Best Morning Snack” in the PARENTS’ Food Awards 2021 “Fridge” category, judged by a panel of 75 kids from toddlers to young teens.
“As we head into the busiest months of the year, we know parents are looking for on-the-go snacks for every occasion, from sports practices to after-school programs,” said PARENTS Editor-in-Chief Julia Edelstein. “Our PARENTS’ panel of kid taste-testers sampled hundreds of nutritious products to find the ones that will make the hustle and bustle of family life easier and tastier.”
Earlier in the year, PEOPLE set up a cross-country taste-test to uncover the best products brought to market over the past 12 months. Of the many products the magazine tested, it awarded Organic Valley with “Best Shredded Cheese” for its high marks in taste and melting.
The cooperative’s butter artisans also won first place at both the Wisconsin State Fair and the World Dairy Expo, once again proving its claim to the smoothest, creamiest, highest-quality butter in the dairy state.
