Philadelphia® has introduced its first-ever refrigerated cream cheese frosting in the United States, offering retailers a unique new product with its signature creamy texture and taste. Featuring fresh milk and real cream, this innovative frosting upholds the brand’s 150-year tradition of quality and provides an appealing option for bakery and dessert categories.
“Bringing the creamy deliciousness of Philadelphia to the frosting category just makes sense and it’s a great example of how we’re giving our fans new ways they can enjoy Philly in the kitchen,” said Becca Dunphey, President, Taste, Meals, and Snacking at The Kraft Heinz Company. “Our team has worked tirelessly to perfect a frosting recipe worthy of the Philadelphia name, and we are excited to bring this game-changing innovation to market. With Philadelphia Frosting, consumers don’t need to compromise on taste or convenience, they can be confident that they’re getting the delicious Philadelphia experience every time.”
The Philadelphia culinary team invested a year and a half in developing a frosting that meets The Philadelphia Standard. The result is a recipe that replicates homemade frosting's rich, creamy texture and balanced sweet-tangy taste. This new frosting is designed to elevate any treat, whether used on cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, or fresh fruit.
Beginning in October, the new Philadelphia Frosting will be available in 16 oz tubs at select retailers nationwide. According to a press release, the product offers a fresh and convenient alternative for those who prefer high-quality, refrigerated options over artificial, shelf-stable choices.
With the launch of the company's refrigerated cream cheese frosting, retailers now have the opportunity to offer a premium, high-quality product that caters to the growing consumer demand for freshness and convenience in baking.
