New leader alert! The Deli Market News team is bursting with excitement at Schnuck Markets’ latest announcement as the grocer has revealed the appointment of a new Chief People Officer. Effective January 30, Jada D. Reese has stepped into the role.
As Chief People Officer, Reese will lead the Human Resources team, a release explained, overseeing department functions including teammate recruitment; retention; labor relations; training and development; diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts; and culture and values integration.
Additionally, Reese will become a member of the retailer’s Strategy Team, a 10-person team of executives assigned to lead the overall direction and execution of the company.
Reese brings to Schnucks over two decades of professional experience, including human resources leadership roles at BJC Healthcare, Express Scripts, and Anheuser-Busch. Most recently, she held the role of Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Enterprise Bank & Trust.
Throughout her career, Reese has led key human resources initiatives at major St. Louis companies, including ideating and implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion strategies; overseeing mergers and acquisitions integrations; developing employee recruitment and retention programs; leveraging thought leadership activities; and instituting change management programs.
