E-commerce is booming and Silver Fern Farms is playing to its advantage as the company has announced that it will be launching a new direct-to-consumer website to provide its U.S. customer base with grass-fed red meat products from New Zealand. As one of New Zealand’s largest producers and exporters of red meat, Silver Fern has its ambitions set on becoming the most sustainable grass-fed red meat company in the world.
"We are excited to bring our products to the doorstep of our customers across the United States," said Matt Luxton, Country Manager USA/North America. "We are living in an unprecedented time, but this e-commerce launch presents us with an opportunity to make our products more accessible while efficiently and safely meeting the demand for high quality red meat products."
Having established its retail footprint in the U.S. in New York City and metro areas in 2019, and then in Southern California and the Midwest throughout 2020, Silver Fern is now looking to ensure its growth continues, according to a press release.
The e-commerce launch is reaffirming Silver Fern’s commitment to expand in the U.S. while also providing a quality red meat experience. With supply chain disruptions due to COVID-19, the meat maven is working to ensure that production continues as its U.S. customers still have access to its products.
To meet the needs of all customers, the new e-commerce site will allow customers to buy not only its beef, lamb, and venison à la carte options, but curated bundles as well. The company is also introducing its Beef Flat Iron Steaks, available for the first time to U.S. customers.
The curated bundles include:
Silver Fern Farms also offers mixed bundles featuring a wide range of options, including:
All products that are featured on the new site are prepared and frozen at peak freshness for quality and product safety, and can be shipped anywhere in the continental United States.
In addition to the wide variety of products, Silver Fern will also be featuring recipes and cooking tips for home chefs. The website will also offer information about the practices of the brand as well as information about its New Zealand origins.
