TreeHouse Foods Gains New Exec

OAK BROOK, IL
Monday, September 9th, 2019

It looks to be a time to keep an eye on TreeHouse Foods. The company just appointed a new Chief Strategy Officer, which sounds to me as if there will be a lot in the works in the months to come.

The company announced that expert planner Amit Philip has been appointed to the executive position, bringing with him an expert portfolio that includes several years of rising through the ranks at The Hershey Company.

Steve Oakland, Chief Executive Officer and President, TreeHouse Foods"I'm delighted to welcome Amit to TreeHouse," said Steve Oakland, Chief Executive Officer and President. "His experience providing holistic business intelligence, ensuring data driven decision making, and leading strategy functions to develop growth plans in a rapidly changing marketplace will be instrumental as we position our portfolio for the future."

TreeHouse Foods welcomes a new executive who was previously at The Hershey Company

From 2011 to 2018, Mr. Philip held positions of increasing responsibility within both the Corporate Strategy and Analytics functions at The Hershey Company, according to a press release. Most recently, he was the company’s Vice President of Analytics and Insights, managing a global team responsible for business decision analytics, consumer and shopper insights, and advanced analytics.

Amit Philip, Chief Strategy Officer, TreeHouse FoodsBefore Hershey, he was with A.T. Kearney, a global management consulting firm that focused on strategic and operational CEO-agenda issues facing businesses, governments, and institutions around the globe, according to its website. While there, Mr. Philip developed strategic plans, governance structures, change-management, communication plans, and technology strategy for clients across a variety of industries, including consumer packaged goods, agribusiness, pharmaceuticals, and financial services.

With a Masters of Business Administration from The Fuqua School of Business at Duke University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Purdue University, in addition to varied experiences in and out of our industry, it will be interesting to watch this next chapter for the executive and the company unfold.

Congratulations to both Mr. Philip and TreeHouse Foods!
