The past few weeks have been some of major growth and big news for Tyson Foods, first announcing the $48 million expansion of one of its facilities and now its subsidiary, Tyson Fresh Meats, has named a new leader to its ranks. The company revealed that Britney Banuelos has joined the organization, stepping into the role of Senior Brand Manager.
As Banuelos steps into her new role, according to the press release, she will be responsible for leading marketing efforts for beef and pork programs, including brand positioning, new product development, and cooperative sales tools in addition to multichannel marketing campaigns.
Ozlem Worpel, Director of Fresh Meats Marketing, commented on this exciting appointment.
“Britney brings a unique blend of operations and marketing expertise to the team, and we are thrilled she has joined us,” said Worpel in her statement.
Starting her career 12 years ago at Farmer John in Los Angeles, California, Banuelos served as an Operations Supervisor.
Most recently, she led key marketing initiatives at Smithfield for its fresh pork portfolio, supporting programs that included natural pork and marinated pork.
Banuelos earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California Polytechnic State University. She also holds a Six Sigma Black Belt.
