2025 is gearing up to be an exciting year for supermarket chain Wegmans. The retailer has announced a strategically planned expansion into Connecticut, announcing its newest store is scheduled to open in 2025, with hiring and training already underway.

Located in Norwalk, Connecticut, the new location stands at 92,000 square feet and features an abundance of high-quality products and ingredients, including thousands of organic options. With this expansion in the works, Wegmans now operates a total of 111 stores along the East Coast.
Hiring and training are currently underway for the Norwalk location. According to a release, Wegmans plans to employ approximately 500 people at this store, noting that the majority of employees will be new to the company and hired locally.
Further growing its footprint, the company has also announced plans for additional stores in Maryland, New York, and North Carolina.
