Growth and expansion are always welcome news here at the Deli Market News office, and the construction of a new Wegmans store is an exciting development to hear about. Wegmans will be opening its newest location in Reston, Virginia, in February 2023.
“While our opening is still a few months away, we have already met many great applicants and are excited to continue building our team,” said Reston Store Manager Katie Sullivan. “Wegmans is known for being one of the best places to work because we offer opportunities for advancement, flexible scheduling, and competitive pay and benefits packages.”
The new Reston location is still under construction, and it is expected to open on February 1, 2023, at 2025 Fulton Place. According to the release, the Reston team is hiring and training for nearly 200 open positions with a hiring event taking place on November 8.
Wegmans' newest 85,000-square-foot location will include a Market Café, coffee shop, and The Burger Bar. The site will have parking below and residential units above. In total, the store will employ more than 400 people, the majority of whom will be hired locally.
The retailer is also hiring for positions at locations throughout Virginia and Washington, DC. More information can be found here.
