Cookie dough is one of those simple pleasures that consumers can keep in the back of their freezer to whip out at a moment’s notice. Now, with Whoa Dough, enjoying cookies is made more viable, as the cookie dough maker recently launched four of its cookie dough bars at Tops Friendly Markets.

Todd Goldstein, Founder, Whoa Dough“Whoa Dough was created with the idea that health is all about balance. With that in mind, we created an indulgence that rewards those who work hard to live a healthy lifestyle,” said Todd Goldstein, Founder of Whoa Dough. “The bars are an ideal match for the product lines at Tops because they are dedicated to providing more natural and organic products to the communities they serve.”

The expansion of Whoa Dough’s lines is part of the maker’s goal to reach a nationwide network of retailers that have strong ties with their local communities. Tops falls under this umbrella, bringing the on-the-go cookie dough bar company into markets including upstate New York, Vermont, and northern Pennsylvania.

As noted in the release, the flavors available at Tops are Sugar Cookie Dough, Peanut Butter Cookie Dough, the newest flavor Brownie Batter Cookie Dough, and the classic Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, which can be found on shelves in the Gluten-Free section.

Certified Gluten-Free, Vegan, Dairy-Free, Plant-Based, OU Kosher, and Non-GMO Project Verified, the company touts, “Real Cookie Dough Bars. Real Ingredients.” The colorful packaging in shades of blue, orange, yellow, purple, and pink makes it easy to find on the shelf, and it can be enjoyed chilled, on the go, or baked at 350 degrees F for 3–5 minutes.

On-the-go indulgence is definitely a trend that has picked up in popularity, how will the sector continue to grow? Deli Market News will keep an eye on the wire.
