Whole Foods Market Partners with Purple Carrot

If you read up on the Specialty Food Industry's latest report, then you're probably well aware of the fact that frozen foods and plant-based are two categories seemingly growing exponentially. In order to tap into this growth, Whole Foods Market is teaming up with Purple Carrot to introduce 100-percent plant-based, single-serve meals to the frozen aisle.

Purple Carrot is known for its e-commerce subscription plant-based meal kit, with its new single-serve meals featuring similar flavor profiles and nutritional philosophies that are core to its meal kit offering.

Whole Foods Market recently tapped a new partner, Purple Carrot, to funnel plant-based products to the frozen aisle in the way of new single-serve meals

Developed in partnership with Conagra Brands, according to a press release, Purple Carrot will launch four single-serve meals including:

  • Plant-Based Meatball Marinara, made with Gardein® Meatless Meatballs
  • Maple Chipotle Veggie Bowl
  • Sweet Corn Elote Bowl
  • Fiesta Pepper Bowl – made with Gardein® Beefless Ground

The new meals were made available to consumers last week and can be found across nearly all Whole Food Market stores in the U.S.
