Zallie Family Markets—which operates ShopRite stores in Burlington, Camden, and Gloucester, New Jersey—is bolstering its leadership with multiple executive appointments across the board.
Anthony Massoni, who joined the company in 2003, will lead Zallie Family Markets as President, overseeing sales, merchandising, and advertising programs, as well as retail operations at the company’s 11 ShopRite stores.
Most recently, Massoni was Vice President of Operations and Merchandising, playing a key role in the grand reopening of the ShopRite of Glassboro and the opening of the company’s newest store, the ShopRite of Center Square, according to the company.
George Veit was announced as the new Vice President of Operations and Merchandising, where he will oversee all facets of store operations. The promotion comes as Veit has built up his time with the retailer over the past 16 years. In addition to his experience inside Zallie Family Markets, before joining in 2007 as an Assistant Store Manager, he worked for both Acme Markets and Giant Foods. Veit was later named Store Director of the ShopRite of Sicklerville in 2010, then managed the ShopRite of Williamstown and ShopRite of Berlin before being promoted to District Manager in 2021.
Finally, Anika T. Parker is now the new Director of Human Resources. According to a release, she will oversee the company’s more than 2,400 team members, managing all HR policies and operations across each of its 11 stores. Parker brings over 25 years of experience in the HR field to her new role.
